The price of the domestic LPG cooking gas cylinder has gone up by Rs. 6 and will cost Rs. 728 in Tamil Nadu.
The public sector undertakings, Indian Oil, Bharath and Hindustan Petroleum supply LPG cooking cylinders of 14.2 kg for domestic use and 19 kg for commercial use.
The price of the above LPG cooking gas cylinders vary every month depending on the crude oil price prevailing in the international market.
Accordingly, the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cooking gas cylinder, which was sold at Rs. 722 in April, will now be sold at Rs. 728 from May. Once the consumers buy this after paying the price, the subsidy amount of Rs. 243.98 will be credited on behalf of the central government to their savings bank account
The price of the domestic LPG cooking gas cylinder in Mumbai (Maharashtra) is Rs. 684.50. In Kolkata (West Bengal), it is Rs. 738.50. In Delhi, it is Rs. 712.50.
In Tamil Nadu, the price of the commercial LPG cooking gas cylinder was Rs, 1405 in April. In May, the price has increased by Rs. 22 and it will cost Rs. 1428.
