The Chennai High Court has dismissed a petition demanding an interim ban on the TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) to be conducted.

Paramanandam and Sakthivel from Krishnagiri had filed a petition to the Chennai High Court. It mentioned that the clause  that TET would be valid only for a period of 7 years is against the law. So, the TET scheduled to be conducted on 8th and 9th June must be barred.

This petition came up for enquiry on 30th May (yesterday). After the enquiry, the Chennai High court declared: as per the government’s explanation, TET cannot be barred with lakhs of candidates to write the same and thus dismissed the petition submitted by Paramanandam and Sakthivel.
