Indian Premier League (IPL) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials have asked the Karnataka Commissioner of Police permission to reschedule the date of the May 4th match between the Bangalore Royal Challengers and Kings XI Punjab. The request comes in the wake of announcements confirming State elections on May 5th. Officials feel that the security for the match will be compromised.
The match on May 4th will be moved to May 14th and the match against the Hyderabad Sunrisers on May 6th will be held earlier on April 9th, pending permissions. Similarly, the match between the Delhi Daredevils and the Kings XI Punjab to be held on April 23rd at Delhi has been moved to Dharamshala on May 16th. The May 4th match to be held in Hyderabad between Delhi and Punjab will be at 8pm instead of 4pm.
