In the top 1000 JEE ranks, just 30 students present from TN

On Friday, 14th June, results of JEE (Advance) were declared. The information that has come out now is in this year 2019 just 30 students from the state of Tamil Nadu featured in the top 1000 ranks. It was mentioned by some experts that this year’s performance was similar to the last year’s performance.

The city of Chennai must feel happy and proud that a student named S. Prajeeth secured All India 33rd rank and he was the topper from TN. It must be noted that in 2018 the top ranker got 51st rank at the national level. Point to be noted is when the results were announced the website had heavy traffic and the site remained down soon after the results were declared in the morning. After 5 pm in the evening the website was up again. A total of 161,319 candidates appeared for JEE (Advance) in 2019 and as many as 38,705 students got qualified. Important information is as many as 5356 girls got qualified this year.

From the state of Maharashtra, a student named Kartikey Gupta Chandresh stood first in 2019. Prajeeth from Chennai got 293 out of total 372 marks. Prajeeth expressed his happiness about his success in JEE and spoke about how he was preparing for JEE for the last 4 years. He then hinted that he wanted to study either computer science engineering or electrical engineering at the prestigious IIT Madras.

Tamil Nadu student Sumedhan Ramesh got 248 marks and secured 248th rank now. He spoke about how he has been preparing for JEE for the last 2 years of time and how he would go for electrical engineering at IIT M. It is worthy to note that another TN student Gaurav Prakash got 245 marks and secured 278th rank. He wanted to study computer science engineering at IITM.

Deputy Director FIITJEE Chennai, Mr. Pawan Kumar expressed his happiness about his 24 students who came in top 1000 ranks. He compared the performances of students of this year with those of 2018 and said the performances were same. He then mentioned about how in 2018 a student with 1000th rank got 59% marks and in 2019 a student with 1000th rank got 55%.

Educational consultant, Mr. Nedunchezhiyan spoke about the availability of as many as 10500 seats in 23 IITs in India. He explained about how last year when the total seats were 10000 a student with 13000th rank got seat in IIT Bombay.
