Chennai city to have heat wave conditions for 2 days with temperatures crossing 40 degrees

In the last week, the city of Chennai was under scorching heat and the residents of Chennai suffered a lot is well known. This suffering might not end soon it seems. The sensational piece of information now is the meteorological department had predicted this extreme heat wave conditions in the Chennai city would be for another 2 days. It is now revealed that the residents of Chennai might not get any respite from the unbearable heat as of now. The point is the places like Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur and Chennai would have heat waves conditions with southern and northern suburbs to be hotter than the core parts of the city.

Till 18th June 2019, isolated places in Thiruvallur, Vellore and Thiruvannamalai districts and areas under the east coast of Chennai till Puducherry could be having severe heat waves. The temperature in these areas would go above 40 degree Celsius. In the next 2 days, the maximum temperature in the day would be above 40 degree Celsius in Chennai city. It has been forecast that the sky condition would be partly cloudy. The maximum temperature would be 41 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature would be 31 degree Celsius.

To avoid getting sunstroke, the meteorological department had advised the people not to expose themselves directly to the sun between 11 am to 4 pm in the evening. On Sunday, the maximum temperature that was recorded in Meenambakkam was 42 degree Celsius and the city recorded 40.2 degree Celsius. In the year 2018, the highest temperature that was recorded in the month of June was 39.8 degrees on 6th June and on 15th June. It must be noted that in 2017 the maximum temperature recorded in June was above 40 degree Celsius. Information is places like Erode, Coimbatore, Nilgris,Salem, Theni, Dindigul, Kanyakumari, Shivaganga and Pudukottai districts would get light to moderate rainfall.
