Nokia premises raided by IT Dept.

The Nokia mobile phone manufacturing unit in Sriperumbudur near Chennai was raided by income tax officials in January and February of this year. Investigations showed that the Finnish company had evaded income tax to the tune of many millions of rupees. Key documents were confiscated during the raid.
