The Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation (TNACTVC) cannot be given a Digital Addressable System (DAS) licence due to the recommendations in this regard by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India in Madras High Court on Thursday.
When the two writ petitions from the TNACTVC praying for a direction to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to process its application for DAS licence will not allowed like the governments in Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal to operate TV channels or do broadcasting like multi-system operators.
