Government approves operating 525 Electric Buses in 8 cities!

In order to curtain pollution of air and protect the environment throughout the country, the central government has decided to operate electric buses in the Transport Department.
Accordingly, the central government has approved the operation of 5595 electric buses in 64 cities.
In Tamil Nadu, 525 electric buses have been allotted for operation in the cities of Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Vellore, and Thanjavur.
In this regard, test runs of electric buses had already been conducted in the Chennai Metro City over the last 2 years.
Now, the central government has accorded for approval of operating electric buses.
