A new departure terminal to open its doors on Wednesday

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced that the new
departure terminal at Chennai’s domestic airport will start operations on
Wednesday, 10th April.2013. The arrival terminal has been in use since March 21st.
They
also announced that a new traffic pattern. Those heading to the new domestic
terminals – both departure and arrival – will now have to turn off right from
GST Road to enter the new terminal building. However, entering and exiting the
international terminal will remain the same.
An
official statement from AAI said that SpiceJet and Jet Airways will start their
operations from the new terminal on Wednesday. The other airlines such as
Indigo , Air India and Go Air will follow on Friday.
