In order to facilitate a simpler, easier, and a quicker way to learn and understand the subject of Mathematics, the Tamil Nadu State Government is all set to launch a Mathematics app to help the school students in the State.
This application would also assist teachers in improving their teaching skills.
The app will have a series of collection on Mathematical activities that will train students in improving critical thinking to solve a problem.
A senior official from the School Education Department shared in this regard that the app would have game-based principles to encourage students to learn mathematics and it would also have problem-solving sheets, lesson plans and real-time reporting.
The official further stated the State government had signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an Australian-based Matific company for the app.
He said, “During the first phase, the application will be available for students studying from class one to five.”
The official went on to explain in detail about the app:
This app was designed by a combined group of professors, curriculum specialists and educational experts working for the company, who curated the online resource by incorporating automatic-driven assignment.
He observed, “The app uses logical sequencing and staging to report on topics for every student and class. The student’s progress will be viewed and tracked using the app reports. The Mathematics online resource is used in schools across the world including the USA Australia, the UK and Asian nations.”
He further added, “The app will be available in both English and Tamil and it would be launched for 200 select elementary government schools across the State covering around 10,000 students. Login will be created for every student and teacher to immediately get into the learning app to gauge their skills”.
The official also said that within a few months around 29,000 government elementary schools comprising 15 lakhs students will be benefitted by the app.
