Tamilnadu plans to hike milk production

Tamilnadu government have announced in the Assembly on Tuesday to increase milk procurement to 30 lakh litres per day (LLPD) in 2013-14.
The government also outlined its plan to increase the sale of milk-based products by setting up 100 Aavin stores across the State.
Milk and Dairy Development Minister V Moorthy.said the sales revenue of all federations and unions had clocked Rs 3,584 crore in 2012-13, up 28.4 per cent from the Rs 2,791 crore in the previous year.
