In Chennai, the weather has been nice and cool now and this has made many residents very happy. The weather was a little sunny in the morning but it became nice and pleasant in the evening time in some parts of Chennai and it was because of the mild showers. Light rains were seen in places like Adyar, Royapettah, Kamarajar Salai, Chintradripet, R.A. Puram etc is known.
It is now said that this type of weather would continue in Chennai city for a few more days also. This was according to the officials belonging to the meteorological department. Point is the maximum temperature is likely to be around 36 degrees.
An official later expressed his thoughts and spoke about how the sky is likely to be cloudy and how light to moderate rains might occur in some places in the evenings and in the nights. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 25 degrees Celsius. Information collected is there might be heavy rains in some districts in TN.
The officials belonging to the meteorological department revealed that places in TN such as Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Thiruvannamalai, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Ariyalur, Trichy, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Pudukottai plus other places like Sivaganga, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Kanyakumari, Karaikal districts and Puducherry might get heavy rains.
It is important to note that on Sunday, 15th September, for a 24 hour time period ending at 8:30 am Vandavasi in Thiruvvannamalai district received maximum rainfall of12 cm. This was followed by Polur belonging to Vandavasi district and it recorded 9 c rainfall.
