The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain for the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, Puviyarasan, informed:
‘There are prospects of rain in several places widespread in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
There are prospects for heavy rains in 10 districts in Tamil Nadu including Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunaga, Nagapattinam. And Thanjavur.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy. There are prospects of rain with thunder during the night session.
As cyclonic winds will be blowing, the fishermen are cautioned not to venture out for fishing in the Kanyakumari sea region.’
