Banks to remain closed for 4 successive days

Due to festival/weekend holidays and strike, banks will remain closed for 4 successive days.

So, the bankers have advised/cautioned their customers to plan and complete their finance-related requirements/tasks in advance.

The central finance minister had informed that 10 public sector banks are to be merged on 31st August. Protesting against this, the bank employees organized a protest on 1st September.

Presently, the bank officers have planned to go on strike for 2 days on 26th and 27th September. This would disturb all the bank-related services. 28th September is a 4th Saturday of the month and hence a holiday. 29th September is a Sunday. So, bank services may not be available for 4 consecutive days from 26th September to 29th September.

Including the public, the employees, entrepreneurs, traders, etc., avail the bank services every day for depositing cash/cheques, withdrawal of cash and financial transactions.

As the banks` services will not be available for 4 days, these customers as above, need to plan their financial requirements and act in advance.

The private agencies fill money in the ATMs. As there are 4 successive holidays, there may be problems encountered in the ATMs in filling up with the required quantum of money as for 4 days. So, people from different sectors must complete their bank related requirements in advance. They have to arrange to take cash for any emergency requirement. So, it is advisable to withdraw cash in advance and keep it ready for any emergency requirements.
