Tamil Awards to be presented on April 15th

The Tamil Awards are set to be presented to the recipients on 15th April this year by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. The Awards, which were instituted last year, celebrate the achievements of Tamil scholars across the globe.
This year, the Tamil Thai Award goes to the Delhi Tamil Sangam for their service to the community and its members. The Kapilar award will be received by poet Muthulingam, the U Ve Sa Award will go to Prof. Ma. Ve. Pasupathi.
Two more Awards have been instituted from this year. The Kambar Award for those who spread the rich messages of the Kamba Ramayanam will go to Bala Ramani. The Sollil Selvar Award for young orators will be received by M. Loganayagi.
