The facility to make advance reservations for those who plan a trip to their places to celebrate Ayudha Pooja has commenced and is in progress.
This year, Ayudha Pooja falls on Monday, 8th October and Vijayadasami on Tuesday, 9th October. As the previous 2 days happen to a Saturday and a Sunday, there are 4 successive holidays available! Naturally, this will result in larger number of passengers planning trips for celebrations. Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation has planned to operate special additional buses for this occasion.
Accordingly, to facilitate the passengers who plan to travel from Chennai to other districts, 6145 special additional buses are to be operated. The reservations for these buses have already commenced and are in progress.
Reservations can be done at the Koyambedu, Madhavaram, Poonamallee, and Tambaram Bus Stations.
Apart from this, reservations are being done through the website of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and also using the App ‘Red Bus’.
The officials informed that most of the reservations have been done online.
The special buses are being operated from tomorrow from the Chennai Metro City to other districts.
