Belonging to the family called ‘Rubaceae’, lemon is mostly found in north eastern part of India. It has got a superb yellow colour and it is ellipsoidal in shape. It must be noted that lemon has been used in treating many health issues for so many years. Information is lemon is one of the healthiest food groups that could be incorporated in our diet. Lemon is mostly in food for flavour is well known to us. Many nutrients present in lemon are water, calories, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamin C, B6, potassium etc.

It is important to note that lemon also has got plant compounds like citric acid, hesperidin plus others like diosmin, eriocitrin etc in it.

Many of us get issues like old cough etc frequently due to our poor immune strength. It must be noted that the vitamin C present in lemon does superbly in improving the immunity. In addition to this, lemon helps in detox the body plus helps the body to fight germs. Intake of lemon tea could be superb for our health.

Heart diseases and diabetes etc could occur when a person is obese or over weight.  It is possible to lose weights by the intake of lemon water. Lemon water intake also helps in detox. It is revealed that the antioxidants present in the lemon could wash away the toxins from our body. Consuming lemon juice in the morning daily could help in boosting the metabolism and also in digestion process.

Prevents the formation of kidney stones:
Sometimes waste products could deposit and crystallize in the kidneys of the persons. This could result in kidney stones. It is said that by regular intake of lemon we could prevent kidney stones in us. The lemon has citric acid in it and this citric acid regulate the pH of urine and creates unfavourable environment for the stones to develop.

Anaemia is avoided:
It is known that deficiency of iron could lead to anaemia in us. It is more common in the kids and in the women. The intake of lemon could help in the better absorption of iron into the body. It must be taken into account that iron from the animal sources could be absorbed easily by our body but absorbing iron from the plant sources is difficult. Point to be noted is this would be possible by use of lemon in these foods.
