Aadhar number to verify voter details!

Approving the appeal made by the Election Commission to sanction the authority to link the Aadhar Number with voter details in order for better verification of the voter data, the central Ministry of Law has decided to modify the related Act in the constitution.
In a recent letter sent by the Election Commission to the Central Ministry of Law, it had mentioned:
‘Aadhar number is essential to check the voter details given by all new applicants and also to remove the fakes from the voters’ list. However, the order issued by the Supreme Court in the year 2015 prevents this link of Aadhar with voter details. So, it is indeed essential to modify the concerned Act in the constitution.’
Receiving the above request, the central Ministry of Law has decided to enact the necessary modification in the concerned Act in the constitution.
