Point to be noted is in this cyber attack installation of malware is involved. It might also involve secretly copying sensitive data from a smartphone, computer device, tablet, etc. There are many places where this issue of juice jacking could take place. These places are coffee shops, offices, airport and hotel lounges, railway stations, etc.

It is brought out that such free public phone chargers could secretly install malware on your device. It is said that juice jacking is one of the most underrated security threats but it is a serious issue.
To compromise a public USB charging port, technology is needed and this technology is available easily. This has resulted in many innocent smartphone users getting malware installed on their smartphones.
