Deepavali special crackers sale fair commences today

The Chennai High Court has formulated the rules and regulations of all aspects of setting up cracker sales shops and released the order on this during 2013.
The place for setting up cracker sales shops in Chennai Island Grounds is auctioned through the Tamil Nadu state government department of tourism.
For this year’s (2019) Deepavali cracker shops fair in Island Grounds, Chennai, the places were auctioned for Rs. 81 Lakhs.
Subsequently, the crackers sales shops will be commenced today evening (Thursday, 17th October) till 28th October. There are 70 cracker sales shops set up in Chennai Island Grounds.
