Sensational Verdict: Office of the Chief Justice, Supreme Court included under RTI Act!

The Supreme Court has passed the judgment today that the office of the Chief Justice of the Supreme court comes under the domain of the RTI Act (Right To Information).
In a sitting of 5 judges under the High Court Political Constitution, 3 judges including the Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi gave a unanimous verdict. The other 2 judges gave a different verdict.
The High Court’s verdict today will go a long way in establishing the transparency of the Justice Department.
This verdict was given after the inquiry was taken on the petition submitted by the Secretary of the Supreme Court, and Public Relations Officer against the verdict given by the Delhi High Court that the office of the Chief Justice of the Supreme will also come under the domain of RTI Act.
With the above verdict, the Supreme Court approved the verdict given by the Delhi High Court!
