Prospects for rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next 24 hours

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for mild to medium rain in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
It explained that the prospects of rain are attributed to the thermal convective rain phenomenon and a recent formation of a low-pressure zone over the Bay of Bengal.
The Chennai Metro City will remain partly cloudy.
There are prospects for mild rain in a few parts of the city.
