Walls of Anganwadis to be painted with colour drawings of rainbows and children playing with it!! These new designs would be child-friendly and vibrant. Sound’s incredible isn’t it!!
It is now said that Anganwadis would breathe a new lease of colourful life. Point to be noted is Chennai Corporation has released new designs for those Anganwadis to be built and some improvements for the existing ones.
According to Mr G. Prakash, Corporation Commissioner of Chennai, the designs would be finalised depending on the land availability. It must be noted that there would be plants and grass planted outside the entrance. Dora and Boots are popular cartoon characters and these characters would be seen and it would be superb. He spoke about how on the inside the activity area would be 624 sq ft and how it would have alphabets and number drawings etc.
The chairs would be painted and the floors would also have coloured paintings. The presence of child-friendly toilets would be another feature of the Anganwadi.
It is sensational to mention that the creative designs planned included snake and ladder game, numbers and letters painted on the floors for the kids to enjoy as well as learn even while walking. For attracting many students, the existing anganwadis too would be revamped with the designs mentioned above.
Chennai Corporation Commissioner concluded that MLA’s and MP’s also have a chance to select a design if the anganwadis are from their funds. It is known that anganwadis are a type of rural childcare centre started by the Indian government in 1975.
