Chennai Super Kings thrash the Delhi Daredevils

The 24th play off in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) was held in Delhi on Thursday. The match was between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils.
The Chennai team won the toss and elected to bat and the opening batsmen were Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay. Murali Vijay went out at 18 (lbw by Albie Morkel).
The next wicket to fall was Raina. The Raina – Hussey partnership went off well, with Raina scoring 30 runs. The Chennai team scored 90 runs in 12.5 overs. Hussey then went on to take few more runs during his partnership with Dhoni.
Dhoni was out for 44 runs when the total score was 164 in 19.3 overs. Bravo who came in next scored 3 runs and got out in the last ball of the innings, taking the final score to 169/4. Hussey was not out with 65 runs.
The Delhi team opened with Warner and Sehwag. Warner was made out by Mohit Sharma after scoring 1 run. Juneja was the next batsman in. He was out for 2 runs (LBW by Sharma). The next batsman Jayawardane was also out by LBW bowled by Albie Morkel. He scored 6 runs. Sehwag was out for 17 runs, bowled by Sharma.
The Delhi team was all out for 83 in 17.3 overs.
