Due to the Northeast monsoon seasonal rains, the water inflow to the major water resources of the Chennai Metro City has increased again.
Rainfall of 2.2 cm was recorded in the Poondi water reservoirs and the nearby water resources. With this, there was an inflow of 315 cft per second to the Poondi water reservoir.
There was a rainfall of 1.7 cm recorded at the Puzhal water reservoir. Water from the Poondi reservoir was also let out to the Puzhal reservoir. So, there was a water inflow of 410 cft per second to the Poondi water reservoir.
Rainfall of 1.6 cm was recorded at the Chembarambakkam water reservoir. So, there was an inflow of 38 cft per sec to the Chembarambakkam water reservoir.
