Weather forecast warning - prospects of very heavy rains in the next 3 days in Tamil Nadu!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Cenre has warned that there are prospects of very heavy rains in Tamil Nadu.

Widespread rains are prevalent currently throughout the state of Tamil Nadu.

A low-pressure format developed over the Bay of Bengal has been intensifying gradually. There are strong prospects of the low-pressure format developing into a high depression zone and hence, it may be noted that there would be no respite at present from the northeast monsoon seasonal rains for Tamil Nadu!

Warning to the public – rivers, water resources overflowing and excess being let out!

The Chennai regional Meteorological Centre has warned that along with the persistent rains, it will continue with incessant rains for the next 3 days in Tamil Nadu! There are prospects of very heavy rains in the delta districts. There would be heavy rains in Thiruvarur, Pushukkottai, Thanjavur, Mannarkudi, and Nagappattinam until tomorrow evening (2nd December, Monday).

Pattukkottai:

There are strong prospects for very heavy rains in Pattukkttai. Stormy winds are likely to blow in Cuddalore and Kanyakumari. The Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rainfall up to 11cm in Kanyakumari.

Coimbatore:

There are prospects of rains for the next 2 days in Coimbatore, Thiruppur, and Pollachi. There are very strong prospects for very heavy rains in Nilgiri, The rain which had persisted over the last 24 hours in Ramanathapuram will continue.

The Sea:

The district of Ramanathapuram is likely to be affected heavily due to this [revalent seasonal rains. Strong winds are likely to blow across in Ramanathapuram. So, a warning is issued to the fishermen of this locality not to venture into the sea.
