Today, 5th December is the day when the former chief minister of TN, Dr J. Jayalalitha passed away.
It is known that the present chief minister of TN, Dr E. Palaniswami would be visiting Dr Jayalalitha’s memorial today, 5th December to pay homage. For this sake, traffic diversions have been announced by the traffic police.
It is revealed that the CM of TN would be taking part in a procession between 9 am and 10 am. This procession would be from Anna Statue on the Anna Salai- Walajah Road junction to Dr Jayalalitha memorial.
The vehicles coming from the north would be diverted at War Memorial and all vehicles coming from Napier Bridge would be diverted at Adams Point towards Swami Sivanandha Salai.
Point to be noted is all the vehicles coming from Vivekanandha House would be diverted at Kannagi Statue junction on Bharathi Salai. It is now said that the traffic police had requested the motorists to cooperate with the arrangements made for the procession.
