Tamil Nadu State Election Commission withdraws local elections!

The Tamil Nadu State Election Commission announced today (Friday, 6th December) that it is withdrawing the proposal to conduct the local elections in the state.
The state Election Commission informed that the new dates for conducting the local elections would be announced after a detailed review on the Supreme Court judgment.
If this announcement is not fully officially announced today, it is doubtful whether the local elections will be conducted on 27th and 30th December as announced earlier.
