Air-conditioned van facility for travel from Alandur Metro Station to Velacherry

The facility of transport by an air-conditioned van has been provided for the Chennai Metro Rail passengers to travel from Alandur Metro Railway Station to Velacherry from yesterday (Wednesday, 11th December).
The Chennai Metro Rail services operate in 2 corridors Chennai Airport - Washermanpet and Chennai Central - St. Thomas Mount.
Arrangements have been made for the Metro passengers to reach their destinations from the Metro station at reasonable fares by way of share-auto, Taxi, mini-bus, van, etc.
As a part of this, the facilities of tempo trailer and the air-conditioned van had been introduced from Alandur Metro Railway Station to Velacherry since yesterday.
This van will proceed via St. Thomas Mount, Thillai Ganga Nagar subway and reach Velacherry. This will be operated at intervals of 30 minutes. A fare of Rs. 20 per person has been fixed.
