The Mega Food Style Expo, organised by the popular Tamil Daily Newspaper Dinakaran, commenced at Chennai Metro City Nandambakkam. More than 100 leading food product manufacturers in India are participating in this fair.
All of us are really keen on consuming tasty food, no doubt about it! Apart from the typical south Indian regular dishes such as idli, dosa, Pongal, masala dosa, paniyaram, and white paniyaram, people indulge in tasting different varieties in the present lifestyle - especially the foreign foodstuff! Pizza, Burgers, and noodles play a prominent role here. It may be noted that these items are preferred and better relished by the urban population more than the rural one!
So, the roadside food shops offering these items can always be seen to be crowded. As it happens, these items have become a part of the integrated lifestyle. This trend has grown and nowadays, the facility is available to order these items through the mobile phone and relish them in one’s own residence!
Even then, it must be admitted that people have been giving due attention to traditional food! The main reason for this is the consuming items such as pizza, etc., lead to harmful results.
Thus, at the same time, restaurants/hotels/roadside shops selling food items prepared from millet, horse gram, Saamai rice, Kudiraiwali rice, have also proliferated.
In the above scenario, giving due consideration to these developments, the ‘Mega Food Bazaar (Style Expo)’ is being organised on behalf of the popular Tamil Newspaper Daily Dinakaran from today (Friday, 13th December) until Sunday, 15th December.
This Food bazaar is being held at the Chennai Metro City Nandambakkam ‘Chennai Trade Centre’. Admission is free. Natural organic food items, organic food groceries, nutritious food items, cool-dring products, masala products, etc., are displayed and sold.
Further, more than 100 leading food manufacturing concerns in India are participating here!
