Passengers can now travel anywhere in Chennai suburban routes with tourist tickets.

The sensational news now is the southern railways have introduced tourist tickets in the Chennai suburban routes. With this ticket, the passengers would be able to travel anywhere as they wish in the suburban section.
Various suburban routes are Beach-Chengalpattu, Beach –Tiruvallur, suburban terminal-Tiruvallur, suburban terminal –Gummidipoondi and Beach-Velachery MRTS section.
The information is the passengers travel would not be restricted and they would be able to travel any number of trips. It is said that the tourist ticket holders would be able to board the trains or get down at any station.
The tickets could be booked 3 days in advance and these tickets would be valid till midnight. This was as per a release. It is known that Chennai suburban railway is a commuter rail system in Chennai and is the second largest suburban rail network in route length. In terms of commuters, the suburban rail network is third largest in India.
