Within a year, TNPC releases Group 1 examination results

The news that has come out is TNPSC has released the results of Group 1 examination in just one year. This is the shortest time period taken by TNPSC ever.

On 6th of January, there would be counselling and after this counselling, there would be 181 candidates who would be posted as deputy collectors, deputy superintendent of police and in other Group 1 services in TN. It is worthy to note that over 70% of 362 candidates on the Group 1 examination rank list are women.

The number of women candidates to get posted in Group 1 services after the counselling on 6th January would be more than 75 percent. This was confirmed by an official.

Point to be noted here is the notification was made on 1st January 2019 and the results have been released by the end of the year. This is now the shortest time period ever. Till now, the time period of 16 months has been the best in the history of TNPSC. In 15 months of time, UPSC releases the results of civil services examination is known.

For the post of deputy collector, as many as 24 top-ranking candidates would be selected and for the posts of DSP as many as 91 top-ranking candidates would be selected.
