Deadline extended for applying NEET: till 6th January!

The deadline for applying to write NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test) has been extended until 6th January.
Admissions to medical colleges are made on the basis of the marks obtained in NEET in the state of Tamil Nadu from the year 2017.
NEET for the next year is scheduled to be conducted from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM on 3rd May 2020.
The process of applying for this commenced on 2nd December.
Applications can be made online:www.ntaneet.nic.in or www.nta.ac.in.
The application fee is Rs. 1500 for the open community or the general cadre. It is Rs. 1400 for the candidates belonging to the economically backward forward community, OBC candidates, and the candidates belonging to the non-creamy layer. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently-abled category, and the 3rd Gender, it is fixed at Rs. 800.
The candidates can download their hall tickets for writing NEET on 27th March.
In this situation, though the deadline for online application was announced as 31st December earlier, it has now been extended till 11.50 PM on 6th January!
The National Examination Board has announced that the application fee must be paid before 11.50 PM on 7th January!
