The central Ministry of Defence released the list of states participating in the Republic Day march conducted in Delhi.
It has been a tradition for every state and every major undertaking in different sectors to accord and present their best on the Republic Day Parade on 26th January.
In this situation, in the list of states to participate in this year’s (2020) Republic Day, the states of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Kerala are not included.
Here is the list of states and industries in various sectors participating in the 2020 Republic Day parade:

- National Disaster Management (Central Home)
- Central Public Works Department
- Central Shipping Transport and Fisheries Department

- Jammu Kashmir
- Karnataka
- Madhya Pradesh
- Meghalaya

- Rajasthan

- Uttar Pradesh
The political party Rashtriya Janata Dhal has criticized that the central government has dishonoured the state of Bihar by not according to the ‘Special Status’ to the state and also their participation in the Republic Day parade proposal.
In a similar vein, Kerala State’s participation was also rejected. The Law Minister of Kerala state has accused that this decision has some interior motives.
