Transport Corporation: reservation facility for 266 new routes with ac buses at a lower fare

The Managing Director Muthukrishnan has announced that reservation facility has been introduced on behalf of the Chennai-Villupuram Government Transport Corporation in the buses being operated in 266 routes with lower fare A/c facility, long-distance, and the non-stop buses.
On behalf of the Villupuram Government Transport Corporation, 3166 buses are being operated daily carrying a total of over 16.50 Lakhs passengers with the buses to Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chingleput, Vellore, Ranippettai, Thirupathur, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Thiruvannamalai, Thiruvallur Districts and also to Puducherry, Tirupathi. Kalahari, Bengaluru, and Nellore.
To facilitate the urban-rural passenger enjoy their travel, 52 air-conditioned buses with reasonably lower passenger fares are being operated recently for the 1st time in the history of Villupuram Transport Corporation.
Further, to facilitate comfortable travel for the passengers, the reservation facility is available with special reservation centres and also the online facility for over 73 routes.
With a view to further extending this facility, this reservation facility is made available for an additional 193 routes, thus for a total of 266 routes.
