Tourism travel at Rs.10 on Mattu Pongal day to create awareness: TTDC

The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation has announced:
‘On the day of ‘Mattu Pongal’ on 16th January, the next day after the important Tamil festival of Pongal, the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation, with the main objective creating awareness about tourism among the citizens, will be operating buses at a fare of just Rs. 10 only, facilitating the passengers to get in anywhere and get our anywhere! This will be just for the 1 day on Mattu Pongal.
The buses will operate from the Tamil Nadu Tourism Complex to Island Grounds for exhibitions, Marina Beach (Anna Samadhi), Vivekanandar Illam, Light House, Besant Nagar Annai Velankanni temple, Ashtalakshmi Temple, Arupadai Murugan Koil, and Guindy Children’s Park.
These buses will operate from 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM. The fare will be Rs. 10. This Rs. 10-fare will be valid only up to 6.00 PM on this day.
The touring passengers can get in or get out anywhere on specified stops from one tourist spot to another.
