A Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme will be held on Saturday at JIPMER in Puducherry. The topic is ‘Lung Cancers’ and is being conducted by the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) at JIPMER.
Delegates will include doctors from medical colleges from Chennai and Puducherry. According to an official press release, ‘Speakers and moderators at this CME include faculty from departments of Pulmonary Medicine,Radiation Oncology,Medical and Surgical Oncology in Jipmer as well as well-known speakers like Dr Aravind krishnamurty from Adyar Cancer Institute and Dr Krishna Kumar Rathinam from Madurai… the RCC holds the CME to highlight the challenges faced in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancers. The RCC treats over 3,400 new cancer patients every year,the release said. Dr KS Reddy,Director, RCC, Jipmer, will inagurate the CME.’
