The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission undertakes the recruitment process for the various vacancies in different departments of the Tamil Nadu State Government. For the recruitment, it conducts written examinations in different posts according to the vacant posts. A serious scam has been unearthed in the conducting of these examinations and enquiries are in full swing with the arrest of a few officials and a few offenders surrendering by themselves!

In this scenario, TNPSC has put full efforts to carry out the revisions in rules and regulations for these written examinations and the recruitment procedure. It has now come up with a revised set of Rules and Regulations and procedures.

TNPSC has announced that the Group-4 Examinations will henceforth be conducted in 2 phases the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination.

In order to establish the veracity of the candidates, TNPSC has announced that the candidates must reach the examination centres 1 hour in advance for the 10.00 AM examinations, the candidates must be in the examination centre by 9.00 AM!

In cases there are 2 examinations on a single day (forenoon and afternoon), the afternoon examination will commence by 3.00 PM.

The candidates must answer all the questions in the multiple-choice based question papers. In case the candidate does not know the answer, the candidate can darken the option ‘E’.

The candidates also need separately the number of questions that have answered.

An additional 15 minutes will give especially for furnishing the details regarding the questions answered. Note that in case the candidate fails to click any of the options A, B, C, D, and E, the answer paper will become invalid!

The candidate’s left thumb fingerprint will be registered in place of the signature (until now).

TNPSC has further announced that GPS cameras will be installed in the vehicles carrying the answer papers.

The task of transporting the answer sheets will be monitored 24 hours through a special central control room set up for this.

In order to simplify the present information exchange procedure, a special website is being set up!

To facilitate the candidates wishing to inform news gathered by them, arrangements will be made to set up a special website for this purpose.
