As per the Tamil Nadu State Government Education System, the public examinations for the students of 10th, 11th, and 12th Standards are scheduled to start on 2nd March and conclude on 13th April. The final arrangements for conducting these public examinations are presently in progress.

Around 17 lakhs students/candidates are writing the +1, +2 Public Examinations. However, only those senior teachers working in government or government-aided higher secondary schools are on duty participating in the public examinations. However, there are only about 1 Lakh senior teachers working in government or government-aided schools. It is not possible to conduct public examinations with this resource. So, qualified private school teachers also will be given duty for these public examinations.

Accordingly, for taking care of various important functions such as an examination hall invigilator, flying squad officials, etc., for the Public Examinations, teacher are being recruited from all kinds of schools!

However, these private school teachers will be entrusted only with the tasks of examination hall invigilator and correction of answer-sheets.

Important Duties

For certain important functions such as Chief Invigilator, inspecting the examination centres, transporting the question paper and answer-sheets, etc., only the government or government-aided school teachers will be deployed!

All these appointments will be transparent as per the rules and regulations. This is the traditional procedure adopted. The guidelines for the Public Examinations was released last week.
