A special camp is being organised for the Prime Minister’s Farmers Honorary Financial Scheme beneficiaries for distribution of Farmer Loan Card in 6 circles in Chennai Metro City including Ambattur tomorrow (Saturday, 20th February).
A notification released in this regard by the Chennai District Collector Seethalakshmi mentions:
With an objective to distribute Farmer Loan cards to the beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Farmer Honorary Finance Scheme, a special camp is being organised at 6 offices of the Tashildars in Ambattur, Alandur, Madhavaram, Madhuravoyal, Sholinganallur, and Thiruvotriyur under the jurisdiction of Chennai District on Saturday, 29th February (tomorrow)
As a continuation of this special camp, Loan cards are to be distributed to most of the farmers in these localities within the next 15 days.
The farmers interested in obtaining this loan card need to approach the bank where they have their Savings Account and get the Farmer Loan card and then get the bank loan with subsidy and further, they can apply for raising the loan amount as well.
Farmers holding non-operating Farmer Loan Cards can approach their bank branch and apply for activating the same and also for a new loan.
The farmers without the Farmer Loan Cards can approach their bank branch with their documents establishing their land ownership to apply for a fresh Farmer Loan Card and also include fishing and related expenses also to be included in the loan limit.
The farmers interested in availing this facility need to submit a promissory note mentioning the details of their owned land and also that they have not obtained a similar loan from any other branch in any bank to the Income Tax Authorities.
The applications must be submitted to the Village Administration Officer, Revenue Inspector and Tashildar in the owned farming lands located in the Ambattur, Alandur, Madhavaram, Madhuravoyal, Sholinganallur, and Thiruvotriyur Circles.
