A golden opportunity for engineering students with long-pending arrears

Anna University, giving an utmost sympathetic consideration, especially for the engineering students who have long-pending arrears examination, which they need to write and pass to get the degree, has come up providing a golden opportunity for them to clear their long-pending arrears on several subjects!
As per the existing system, students doing 4-year engineering graduate courses must complete the course within a maximum of 7 years. In other words, these students after completing their 4-year study, have to write and pass all the arrears examinations in different subjects within the next 3 years! Only then, they will receive the graduate degree.
Despite this rule, giving utmost importance to the future of these concerned students, based on the approval by the University Administration Committee, special opportunities will be regularly provided for the engineering students who keep arrears even after 7 years of study!
On this basis, a special opportunity has been provided after the approval from the University Administration Committee meeting conducted during May 2019, special opportunity has been given to the engineering students who have kept pending arrears in subjects even after several years!
A notification released by Anna University regarding this:
A special opportunity is being provided for the engineering students who joined from the academic year 2001-02 onwards and have kept arrears in subjects to write these arrears examinations during the semester examinations conducted in April-May.
In a similar vein, the students who joined in the engineering courses in 4 faculties from the year 2000 in graduate and postgraduate courses can avail this special opportunity.
The students interested in availing this opportunity have to pay an additional Rs. 5000 along with the Examination Fee.
The last day for applying is 23rd March for this opportunity.
