Night-time Aadhar Service Centre: For the 1st time in the country!

A night-time Aadhar Service has been set up for the 1st time in the country in the Post Office Sorting House near Kumbakonam Railway Station on Monday, 16th March.
This 1st night-time Aadhar Service Centre in the country was inaugurated by the Trichy Regional Postal Head, Sumathi Ravichandran.
After the inauguration, she shared with the press:
‘There are 380 post offices functioning under Trichy region. Aadhar Service centres have been set up in all these Post Offices. In this situation, for the 1st time in the country, a night-time Aadhar Service Centre has been set up in the RMS (Railway Mail Sorting Office) in Kumbakonam.
This night-time service centre will function from 5.20 PM to the next morning at 4.00 AM on the working weekdays.
The public requiring corrections in their Aadhar card details can visit here with the requisite documents and proofs and get it done.
On a national level, Trichy region has secured a place among the top 5!
As regards Tamil Nadu, Trichy Region has secured the top 3 Post Offices which are ‘best-functioning’ in the state!
In the financial year 2019-20, 2 lakhs Aadhar Centres have been set up so far in the country.
The recently launched night-time Aadhar Service Centre will be further expanded depending on the public cooperation and response!’
The Central Regional Director of the Postal Department, Thomas Raj, RMS Postal Division Senior Superintendent Rajendran, Kumbakonam Postal Division Inspector Ajatahachatru. And Central Region Assistant Director Michael Raj participated on the above occasion.
