The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced that it is not mandatory for all the public to wear facial masks. However, the bus drivers and conductors MUST wear facial masks!
Tamil Nadu State Government Transport Minister M. R. Vijayabhaskar met the press at the ‘Pallavan Illam’, the Headquarters of the Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporations.
The minister informed that the testing set-ups located at 21 places have been intensified where buses from the other states enter Tamil Nadu and so there will be stringent testing carried out.
The minister further shared that it is not mandatory for the public to wear facial masks. He also informed that sufficient stocks of facial masks have been kept ready and so, the mask is available readily.
The minister informed that the passengers who come by flights from abroad are monitored closely.
Earlier, the ministers inspected the operation of spraying of insecticide in the buses kept at the central workshop.
