Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. E. Palaniswami grabbed many eyeballs on Thursday at the assembly when he announced that the roads in the urban places would be upgraded at the cost of amount of Rs 1000 crores.
It is brought out that Coimbatore would get new storm water drains at the cost of amount of Rs 610 crores. For the provision of drinking water in as many as in 57 municipal wards, Madurai would get an amount of Rs 310 crores.
Honoring the work done by the people in any field is very important because it would motivate the people to work more efficiently. Point is the chief minister of TN announced that as many as 64.583 sanitary workers employed by rural and urban local bodies would be rechristened as cleanliness workers to honour their work.
He explained about how periodic health check-ups, special employment camps and skill development for the kids of the health workers were also being done. It is important to note that 15 corporations, 121 municipalities, 528 town panchayats and 12525 village panchayats have employed as many as 64,583 sanitary workers. As many as 15000 shelters for the livestock would be constructed and schemes were announced by the chief minister.
The livestock resources of Tamil Nadu would be improved by the construction of 9000 cow sheds and 600 goat sheds. For the construction of 10,000 concrete check dams, an amount f Rs 440 crores would be earmarked for the PWD. An amount of Rs 170 crores would be used to build small causeways and bridges.
