Raising Covid-19 awareness among passengers - Efforts taken by CMRL and TN Health department

For the purpose of raising Covid-19 awareness among the passengers, on Friday, 20th March 2020, Chennai Metro Rail Limited or CMRL and health department of TN began an initiative.
It is well known that metro stations such as Thirumangalam,airport, Alandur,Vadapalani, Koyambedu, Egmore and Central are always busy with many people. The information that has come out is passengers at these stations were given hand sanitizers and pamphlets on preventive steps against corona virus issue.
Previously, CMRL caught the attention of many when it sanitized metro stations as well the metro trains in Chennai. Hand gloves and face masks were provided to the metro station employees and for the sake of commuters use hand wash and hand sanitizers were kept at all metro stations rest rooms. It is important for all the commuters to protect themselves from getting affected by corona virus infection. For this sake, audio is also played at all the metro stations to help the commuters.
