The central government has rejected the news in circulation that the financial year is likely to be extended by 3 more months!
We are in the lockdown period a ‘no-alternative’ action taken by the central and state governments in order to contain the raging coronavirus pandemic, lockdown totally affecting the normal day-to-day routine lifestyle - has been imposed with strict instructions to stay at home! In order to alleviate the tremendous hardships encountered by people in all walks of life, including the industrialists, an information was floating around in various social networking media that the current financial year (2019-20) is likely to be extended by another 3 months until 30th June!
However, rejecting this news totally, the central government has released a notification:
‘It has come to the central government authorities that there have been fake news floating that the financial year is to be extended by 3 more months! The Central Ministry of Finance has clarified that the notification released recently by the central government regarding certain modifications in the Indian Stamp Act has been misunderstood leading to such false news!’
