The raging coronavirus, spreading fast and wide, has affected several countries and the mankind across the world! An important point to note in this crisis is that enhancing the body’s natural defence system (immunity) plays a stellar role in maintaining optimum health!
It is a well-known saying – ‘Prevention is better than cure!’ As of now, there is no clear-cut medicine for coronavirus! In this situation, it is better to take preventive measures which boost our immunity!
Ayurveda, being one of the science of life, propagates the gift of nature in maintaining healthy and happy living. Ayurveda’s exhaustive knowledge base on preventive care, derives from the concepts of ‘Dinacharya’ – the daily regimes to be adopted, and ‘Ritucharya’ – seasonal regimes to maintain healthy life!
Note that this is a totally plant-based science. The simplicity of awareness about oneself and the harmony each individual can achieve by uplifting and maintaining his or her immunity is emphasised across Ayurveda’s classical scriptures.

Here are some general measures to enhance to enhance the Body’s Natural Defence System:
- Drink warm water throughout the day.
- Daily practice of Yogasana, Pranayama, and meditation for at least 30 minutes.
- Use the ingredients – turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garlic in cooking.
