In this scenario of Corona virus threat, it is important to avoid crowding at public places. For the sake of avoiding crowds gathering at various PDS shops, the CM assured that the PDS tokens would be issued at their doorsteps.

The latest news is the residents belonging to southern Chennai suburbs like Tambaram, Perungalathur, Pallavaram, Chitlapakkam, Madampakkam etc have claimed that some PDS shops have been forcing them to collect the tokens at the shops.

It was mentioned that the persons were forced to go to the PDS shop to get the token in the morning and then go back again in the afternoon to get free groceries and money. Social distancing that is very important now is also not maintained due to excess crowd.
