To help the people know about their health and to make them come out of the fear regarding Corona virus infection spreading, chief minister of TN, Mr. E. Palaniswami launched IVRS or Interactive Voice Response System on Thursday.
After inaugurating IVRS, CM explained about how a person should give a missed call to the number 9499912345 and then the system would call back and ask few questions to the concerned person.
The system would give correct reply depending on the answers given by the person. By this, the person would be able to come out of his or her worry. It is worthy to note that the TN chief minister then took part in video conference with Union information and Telecommunication minister, Mr. Ravishankar Prasad. For various steps taken by the TN state government towards fighting Corona virus, Mr. Ravishankar Prasad appreciated the state government.
Important point is IVRS has been developed by TN state health department in association with IIT Madras and department of telecom.
The union minister later spoke about how all the technology must be utilized to make sure that lives were not lost and people who are fighting Corona virus are properly sensitized on the need to take pro-active steps. He heaped praises on IVRS and said it was fine innovation of technology.
It is known that 60 percent of the Indian population do not have internet facilities. It is now revealed that this latest IVRS could even function without internet and it would be highly beneficial.
