An 84-year`s old woman, treated for corona virus, recovered and returned home in the Chennai Metro City!

Since the 1st case of corona virus in Tamil Nadu, Chennai District has been leading in the list of corona virus-affected persons!

Categories of the persons who returned from abroad and persons who have  been in contact with them are much more in the Chennai Metro City.

Especially the urban/suburban areas of Thiruvotriyur (1), Royapuram (5), and Anna Nagar (8) were affected quite severely.

Though the Chennai district has been most affected, the relieving news is that many persons have recovered as well.

An 84-years’ old lady, who was admitted in Kilpauk Medical Hospital and a 54-years’ old woman, and a 25-years’ old man have all recovered from the coronavirus. These persons belonged to the Chennai Saidapet area and were admitted for treatment on 25th March.

Once it was confirmed that the 3 persons in the family were affected, treatment was given and once it was confirmed from their samples that the infection is cleared, All the 3 persons were discharged from the hospital on Saturday (11th April). The doctors greeted them and gave a ‘send-off’ to these recovered patients.

It may be noted here that earlier, a 72-years’ old woman had been treated and recovered. The 2 women who recovered recently are both above 50 years of age.

Though it has been generally observed that it is rather difficult for older persons to recover from corona virus if affected! This latest news of recovery of 2 old women is a welcome and relieving news indeed!
